The new Peugeot 308 will celebrate its world premiere at the IAA and shortly thereafter also roll to the dealers. But Peugeot 308 shows the R Concept a particularly sporty version of the 308, which will be perhaps more later.
The chances of a series production are thereby not bad, after all Peugeot RCZ also has the R originally shown as a concept only and offers him off at the end of 2013 as a production vehicle.
As the RCZ also has the R 308 R Concept on the 1.6 liter THP engine with an output of 270 hp, which should help the French to compact sporty performance.
Chassis and suspension have also been adjusted to the increased performance, and the interior is trimmed entirely on sportiness with bucket seats and many decorative elements in carbon-look.
At Peugeot, we will now probably wait for the response to the 308 R Concept, and then decide on a series production. The VW Golf R would then get a French competitor.
